Waiting for Winter

Waiting for Winter is a sweet and whimsical design that brings together the magic of a snowy day with a playful little hint of spring. A cheerful seed packet with rosy cheeks and a carrot nose peeks out from a snow-filled garden bucket, accompanied by a heart-shaped shovel with a golden handle. Soft sage greens, warm pinks, and delicate purple accents create an unexpected winter palette that feels cheerful, fresh, and full of personality.

Set against a dreamy orchid background, softly floating colors, gentle dry brushing, and snowy white spattering give the design a wonderfully light, painterly feel. A scalloped band decorated with tiny leaves and a lavender butterfly adds a charming garden touch, while curling ribbons, delicate greenery, and fluffy snow bring movement and texture to the scene.

Originally painted on an 8" x 8" wooden surface, Waiting for Winter can easily be enlarged or reduced to fit a variety of projects. This pattern is perfect for painters who love whimsical snowmen, soft winter colors, playful garden details, and designs that bridge the seasons with a little imagination.
